 There are fast planes… and then there was Concorde.

She didn’t fly. She sliced through time.

  • New York to London in 3.5 hours. At Mach 2.04.

  • The nose DROOPED. Because it wanted to look down on slower planes.

  • Passengers sipped champagne at 60,000 feet while seeing the curvature of Earth.

Commercial aviation peaked here. Everything after was… slower.

❌ Why Did It Die?

  • Loud. Expensive. Fuel-guzzling. Basically the Ferrari of the skies.

  • After 9/11, ticket sales dropped.

  • One tragic accident → Governments panicked → Game over.

🔥 But The Legend Isn’t Dead

Boom Supersonic, NASA & others are trying to bring back supersonic travel.

Question is… will they be as stylish as Concorde? Doubtful.
